» In an interview posted on the new Web Site, The Daily Beast (former Vanity Fair and New Yorker editor Tina Brown’s new online media venture), Lopez discusses a host of controversial topics with writer Kevin Sessums. But a rep for Lopez tells Access Hollywood that the singer/actress never interviewed with the site. “Jennifer Lopez did not do an interview for the Daily Beast,” her rep tells Access Hollywood. Lopez did, however, do an interview with Kevin Sessums for this month’s ELLE cover story, but after the first of what was supposed to be a two-part interview took place, Lopez and her team “weren’t comfortable with the questioning,” according to the star’s rep, who acknowledged that they asked that another writer interview Lopez instead. The Daily Beast discloses that Sessums’ removal from the ELLE cover story did indeed take place, writing on their site, “The interview was originally done for a major fashion magazine, which removed Sessums from the story after Lopez regretted some of her comments and asked that the story not be published.” “The story accurately reports what Kevin Sessums learned from Ms. Lopez in his interview,” a rep for the Web site tells Access. “He owns the story and The Daily Beast was happy to publish it.” A source close to the situation tells Access that after Sessums was removed from the story, he allegedly threatened everyone, including ELLE Magazine. Access’ source also claims Sessums was not authorized to give the Lopez interview to The Daily Beast and is not sure if the quotes on the Tina Brown news Web site are accurate. Access reached out to Sessums, who deferred to The Daily Beast for comment. Lopez’s rep confirmed to Access that a legal letter has been sent to Sessums regarding the interview. ELLE magazine was also contacted for comment, but has not yet been reached.

» Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has lashed out at comparisons to fellow Latina Jennifer Lopez, insisting her career is "more serious". The We Own The Night beauty has made a name for herself in Hollywood with roles in box office blockbusters like Training Day, Ghost Rider, and Hitch, while Lopez has carved out a career in music, acting and fashion. But Mendes hates being pitted against Lopez when people talk about successful Latinas - because she claims she's more attentive and dedicated to her chosen profession. She says, "I would like to think I will have a more serious career than J.Lo. We may both be of Latin origin but that’s where the comparisons stop. She manages her career like the head of a big corporation, whereas the only thing I care about is becoming the best actress possible."

» A spokesperson for Jennifer Lopez has hit back at a journalist, denying reports the star suffered a nervous breakdown in 2002. Reporter Kevin Sessums was commissioned by Elle magazine to profile Lopez but the publication dropped his initial interview with the star in favor of a more flattering piece amid complaints from her representatives that the interview "got much too personal." Sessums' interview was subsequently picked up by the new Web site The Daily Beast. In the article, the writer alleges that Lopez struggles as a new mom, expresses her desire to send her eight-month-old twins with husband Marc Anthony to a school specializing in Scientology, and opens up about the "kind of nervous breakdown" she suffered in 2002 while filming her movie "Enough." Sessums recounts Lopez's ruminations on motherhood, quoting her as saying: "I did cry a lot (after the babies were born) because I was having so much trouble moving. I had a C-section. I couldn't get up fast enough to feed the babies. It went on for about three days. Marc was helping out a lot and I was crying and crying and going, 'Oh, Papi, they're going to know everybody more than me. ... They're going to love everybody more than me!'" According to the New York Post, Sessums pitched the interview to Lopez as "a fashion discussion about a woman who had new babies and was doing it all." But a spokesperson for the star insists she was misled, adding: "We're very unhappy about it, and think it was poor judgment on his part. As long as we have represented Jennifer, we have never heard her refer to having a breakdown of any sort." As WENN went to press, Sessums and a spokesperson for Elle had not returned request for comment.

» Almost eight months after the birth of her twins, Emme and Max, Jennifer Lopez is back in fine form - and she can’t wait to show the world. On September 21, Lopez was in Athens looking more glamorous than ever as she posed for famed Greek photographer Styros Poros for Greek In Style magazine. During the latter months of her pregnancy, Jennifer ducked out of the spotlight, putting all her energy into becoming a first-time mom. But now, a friend says, “J.Lo can’t wait to make a huge comeback.” And she’s doing everything she can to make it happen. “She’s working all the time and has so many projects coming up,” says an insider. Jennifer, 39, will soon start shooting two movies - The Governess and Love and Other Impossible Pursuits - and will release a greatest hits CD in February. What’s more, J.Lo has reunited with her former manager Benny Medina, with whom she parted ways in 2003. While their relationship is not yet professional - Benny is spending two weeks in Europe with J.Lo, her husband Marc Anthony and the twins - the friend says that they are very interested in working together again. “If Benny signed Jennifer, he could help her be a huge star again.”

» Singer/actress Jennifer Lopez loved the challenge of completing a triathlon - and feels stronger as a result. The Maid In Manhattan star - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme in February (08) - ran, swam and cycled her way through the Nautica Malibu Triathlon in California on 14 September (08). She says, "The triathlon was actually amazing. I loved it. "The hardest part was swimming in the Pacific. I had these huge waves crashing around me and I felt incredibly emotional. Part of me felt really in danger and part of me just felt so strong." And Lopez was so overcome when she finished the race, she burst into tears. She adds, "I cried when I came out. (Husband) Marc was standing there at the finishing line. I really cried then. But these days everything makes me cry. I'm still pretty hormonal." Lopez completed the event in under two and a half hours to raise money for Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

» From one Osbourne to another, Kelly Osbourne has reportedly claimed that Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez aren’t the great friends they claim to be. The two women are said to have met at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes‘ Italian wedding in November 2006 and become fast friends after bonding over fashion. But Kelly is quoted in the Mirror as saying that the friendship seems to have wilted somewhat now. The former reality TV star explained that she was sitting “directly across from them” at the recent New York Fashion Week show where Victoria unveiled her new cropped haircut: “I’ve never seen two people pretend to like each other more in my life. “They were holding hands, but it looked like Victoria was holding a s**tty bit of toilet paper!”

A limited-edition, Live Platinum follows on from Live Luxe and the original Live Jennifer Lopez. The winter-inspired concept aims to represent the idea that "every wish in wonderland sparks a sea of stars". The advertising campaign portrays Lopez clad in a snow-coloured dress accessorised with an icy blue scarf blowing in the crisp winter air. The fragrance flacon, a reinterpretation of the original, is coloured a matching icy blue and ringed with a snowflake pendant. The outer carton is decorated with an ice- and snow-inspired motif, and features a glistening blue surface embellished with silver metallic accents, designed to evoke snowflakes sparkling in the winter sun. The juice, composed by Givaudan's Shyamala Maisondieu, opens on notes of marzipan, plum and ruby grapefruit, leading to a heart of Christmas Rose, heliotrope and orange flower.
